Eek! I just tried it now and it keeps locking up every time I do something!!! Not good for me :(

I tried this and couldn't even get it to connect. Its a shame because this program looks as though it could be quite successful.

Perhaps they will release a newer version soon.

media seek sucks badly.....i am sure they won't be around for a while cause they centralized

I downloaded Media Seek, but it won't recognize my shared files. I share gigs of stuff, and it always says "0 Shared" for some reason. It would be a good replacement for Audiogalaxy, but I think this kind of P2P app is probably obsolete because of the hostile environment, thanks to the RIAA. It looks attractive though, but I'm sure it'll be gone as soon as it gets good. If it ever does get of the ground that is.

no probs with the "shared files"

no probs with the connect

no probs with the search/adding of new files

BUT

the download will not start. when i am thinking on audiogalaxy, there are worlds between.

MediaSeek is definately better with this release but it desparately needs more users.

It does the same with me, but i do share. Its probably a problem with high amounts of shared files.
But if you check your files on the webpage, you will find they are online. You can browse them through the "my account" option. The files are in random order and not nicely placed in folders like AG did (iam sure this will come soon).

Hey people.
Just downloaded and i don't have any problems with it, except that it says i'm not sharing any files, but that indeed might be the amount.
This program actually has potential. Everybody is still looking for an audiogalaxy substitute and this might be it. Now only a lot of people should join this and download it.
This has potential. Ofcourse there are some flaws, but consider that there is no v.1.00.
Nice, quite fast at times, and definitely worth at least a try

MediaSeeks on the Rocks - Not Rocks (or Rolls) to me. There are new net's Coming (and old one's Going) and after a while there'll propable be a net for every 1000 peep. Sharing goes to R.I.P. (Rest in Pieces) and good stuff is harder and harder to find, unless having 10-20 XXX-Share-P2P-Donkeys-DC's on desktop and always confused which files I shared with this one etc..
(In MediaSeek case I seem to share nottin' - so it puts me to leecher-man by default and I don't want that...)

Just make sure you don't have information or files you don't wan't shared with the outside world. Bad enough you need a firewall these days to protect against intrusions on your comp but sharing C:\ would be shooting yourself in the foot.

I will never ever share my C:\ and even nottin' under it, there's my whole f... operating system, my documents, my (bad) pictures, my creditcard-number(s) and all of my passwords, e-mail settings / accounts and much more personal info.
And it's only 5 Gigs and allmost full by XP, Snapshots, MS-Installed apps and "The Program Files"...

So - No access there for anybody, but me... ;-)

BTW Ken17625 or some other : I have tried to find out, how to change the text under my avatar, got a tip to go to my CP settings near the avatar, But there's just one combo box, where I just can check one item and even a false one : Zeropaid Member. Is there some error at my CP or am I some CP and nuub not to find out how to put my horse "Running wild and free"?
