Torrentreactor has been hijacked It tries to install a load of crap on users' PCs.

torrentreactor.to is claiming to be the replacement until .net is working again. However, that page loaded automatically, so I dont trust it.

If you have been to torrentreactor recently, update your virus and spyware scanners and check your system.

Adwatch blocked a load of crap from mine. I'm now scanning to see what did get through, as it is still detecting registry modifications.

if you are going to go to dodgy websites, use firefox, or at the very least disable activex in IE

bittorrent sites and link sites are 80% dodgy

Yes, i noticed it several days ago...but i use 'the fox' so no problems...normal mozilla (better than fox) also blocks that shit. Also, all my friends who use ie and go to crack sites always complain bla bla bla spyware, i tell em firefox blocks it and they go bullshit. They say everyone else uses ie, and i say theyre stupid, they go; 'well they know lots more about computers', it's no use trying to convince dumbasses.

Had to reformat my harddrive after something like that happened to me from a BT site using IE. That was about 6 months ago. I've been using Firefox ever since and everythings peachy.

Thats the worst part. I use FF, but I am relatively new. The links down the side at TR weren't working properly. I'm really struggling to come to terms with the lack of compatiblity provided by FF.

When TR didn't load properly, I loaded it in IE instead. BAM - I was ****ed.

If I cant find a solution soon, then I will have to reformat as Mel said.

Anyway, enough of the praising FF. How about some suggestions or at least sympathy?

Try this url. http://www.torrentreactor.to

As far as I can tell thats the REAL torrentreactor. Torrentreactor.net is a fake.

None90810 is correct about torrentreactor. I have been using the torrentreactor.to site and everything works fine. It does appear to be the genuine torrentreactor site. I use Firefox as well (who in their right mind would browse the net using Internet explorer these days ) .
