dammit winamp! grrr

my winamp is screwed up.

for some reason whenever i close it and then open it up later, all the default skin choices are reset! the default skin gets used, the window is resized to its original size, the mouse is skinned, the equilizer is reset etc etc.

it's pissing me off because i'm sick of reconfiguring it to the way i like it and then having it get reset to the defaults next time i open it.

Maybe you should try to uninstall it and then reinstall it... By the way what version are you running because the older versions, some of them have bad scripting and it should prompt an update sign so that you update to version 5.06

Did yopu turn off Random Skins..??
Go to Option/Preferences..click on Skins, uncheck 'Random skin on play'...WinAmp 5
In older versions you have to click around to find it..I forget where it's at.

I'm using Winamp 5.06 and the random skins is disabled.

I unistalled it a few min. ago and I'll reinstall it later today. Hopefully it'll fix itself.

Looks like a clean install didn't do the trick. This is really starting to piss me off.

I would try searching the Winamp Forum at winamp.com. I've found all the answers about Winamp that I've needed there.
