Hmm, scary... just recently veiwed Saw, it was pretty scary, imo.
Ici the Killer was extremely gory, dunno if scary is the right word.
A french movie called Irreversible was probably the most disturbing film I've seen in a while. (extremely difficult to stomach in places, shot in reverse (kind of like Memento), and the camera work was deliberately 'flighty' so that you felt unsettled)

scariest movie I ever saw was Its Pat, seriously you cant get a scarier movie then its pat just look at that thing. Sends shivers down the spine.

Event Horizon was the most recent I have seen, people say the ring is scary shit but for me it was more like "this is the most fucked up shit...." so Event Horizon wins

Well I dont really get scared anymore but I guess Night of the Living Dead. That scared me shitless for weeks.

Odishon (Audition) - Good Japanese movie, really scary, Psychological thriller seriously, the woman cuts off the mans leg with a wire. Hmm other ones? No, movies from hollywood fail to scare me, theyre all the same.

if u like foreign films and ghost stories, watch The Eye (Cantonese) or Feng Shui (Tagalog) on DVD (english sub). i think they showed this two in selected theaters in the US.
