question about songs in ares

when i play a song in ares and it gets done, it automatically starts a new song. i dont want that. anyone ever experience this or know what the problem is?

What I think is happening is that you are playing the incomplete song, and then when the mp3 finishes, Ares refreshes the filelist, and the mp3 is renamed to its final name as it is complete. When it does this, the incomplete filename is no longer listed, and thus can no longer be played, so it plays a new song in the playlist. I don't know if there is any way to fix it really, besides telling Ares to just play the first song again. I'm sure someone else would know better than I, as I only use Ares Lite.

On the media controls in the lower left, there is a playlist button. When you play a file, is it adding to the playlist or is it the only song in the playlist? Leave it open. What happens when the song finishes?

I can't find any options to play media on an external payer by default. You could switch to Ares light, which doesnt have an in-built player, but that is avoiding rather than solving the problem.

its probably just the playlist that you are playing from and ares moves down the playlist like it is supposed to when played fromt eh play list

have downloaded a few songs from ares and they are around 3k in size and about 3 to 4 minutes long, but when downloaded no plaayer will play them and says they are about 16 to 23 minutes long. please help
