I have been trying for a day or two now to get java runtime environment from java.sun.com, and i can't seem to get it to work. It worked before I reinstalled windows, but now its just giving me a blank page with the detect network settings link. Does anyone know of a different site i can get java runtime environment at or have a direct download link?
That would be great... Thanks

don't allow it to install from website
take the 64MB offline installation package
http://java.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=9812
then install that thing at your leisure
