The latest ANts edition so far is 0.6.8 release 1. It runs on my Macintosh without problems. Loaded the zip file from SourceForge. Gwren is calling this version STABLE.
Biggest difference with 0.6.6 apparently in the way querries are handled. Only recently seen files appear. That means lesser replies but greater quality replies

I agree ANts is now working well.
In the last couple of days I've downloaded tens of megabytes of music and shared nearly 7,000 mp3 without having to worry about the MPAA, RIAA or BPI.
So up yours big music :)
NO WAY YOU CAN FIND OUT WHAT I'M SHARING :wings
ANts keeps you well below RIAA/MPAA/BPI etc radar.
Few issues though.
Interface takes a bit of getting use to. For example you don't see search box (query tab) until you connect to the network which can take up to 10 minutes.
You have to manually forward ANts ports on you firewall. Ignore firewall warning message if you've done this.
There seems to be a memory leak on win2k which slows ANts down after running for 4 hours.(see tutorial http://antsp2p.sourceforge.net/antsp2phelp/Default.htm)
The best place to get ANts from is http://sourceforge.net/projects/antsp2p/
Information about ANts http://www.myjavaserver.com/~gwren/home.jsp?page=custom&xmlName=ants
NOTE THAT JETI IS A SERVERLESS INSTANT MESSENGER FOR ANts (Jeti is the plugin, ANts is the P2P application,Jetiants is both in one download!)

@ ezzye
Please explain more about Jeti. Do you use it as an alternative to IRQ-channel chat ?
Is Jeti available for all platforms?
When installed, do we see it as an option in the ANts window ?

JETI (http://jeti.jabberstudio.org/) is a JAVA Jabber Instant Messenger that has been intergrated into Ants By Eric the programer of JETI . If you choose not to connect to IRC by leaving the IRC fields Blank in the settings ,JETIAnts will look for your Jabber buddies IP's to Bootstrap onto the Ants Network. You can still use IRC if you wish but Jeti Ants gives you a safer option and it shows that you dont have to only use one method or use one IRC channel to connect to a Ants Cluster for bootstraping.
Jabber (http://www.jabber.org/about/overview.php) is a distributed protocol and open source so it fits in well to the Ants scheme and it was about the only chat protocol that gave up a real IP to connect . AIM ,YAhoo,ICQ and MSN give you a server IP for most connections so they are useless for Ants bootstraping and they are closed source so its hard to find any real usefull inforamtion on them .
