i need to control my upload. I definitely want to give back to the community...but first of all my upload speeds are pretty bad...about 30KB/s max I'd say. So whenever I download something huge, I'll seed for a while at about 10KB/s. It's better than nothing.

However, I've noticed that the files I do seed end up having 10+ peers. That doesn't really help in any way, because then each individual peer is only getting 2 or so KB upload speeds. I want to set the max global upload to 15, which works fine...however, how do i control the number of peers that connect to each torrent? I tried configuring max upload slots, but that didn't do anything...and i'm not sure if limiting the amount of connections per torrent is for both upload and download, just download, or just upload...

thanks.

You think your upload speed is bad at 30KB/s max? My upstream maxes out at about nine or ten KB/s, and I manage to keep my ratio above 1.25!

why do you not want to have several peers dling from you at 2KB? it seems to me bittorent is more efficient when you let it give it where its needed most
