Do some of you get this often? Lately alot of the files I download, the audio is slightly ahead of the image tho they start off at the same point. Is it a bad file or are there options I could tweak to fix this? Thanks

Use a video editing app such as vegas video, or premiere to sync the audio to the video.

The weird thing is that if I then move the movie along a little bit it'll synch back up and later on get messed up again. I'm wondering if more ram would be the answer

It depends on your computer, it may be a better price to value to get a new computer with faster CPU (at least 1 Ghz for non-gaming) then buying more RAMs!

In some codec formats, you can interleave/sync sound to the actual video at times other than every frame. Depending on corruption, the actual encoding computer, and other factors a video file that is not interleaved every frame can do the thing youre talking about....
Although it's possible, it might not be your hardware(especially if you can play other movies of the same type/size/bitrate without problems)
