you can either change it under the options (don't ask me where, i'm not sure off the top of my head) or, if you're under XP, right click on a torrent file, click Open With, and Choose Program. then select the program you want to use and choose "Always use this program"

Alright (back in Windows so I can actually help you)
In Shareaza, click Tools, Shareaza Settings. Under "Web", uncheck the box marked "BitTorrent (.torrent)"
To associate .torrent with another application, make sure you already have it installed. Then, download the torrent file to your computer, and browse to it. Right click on it, click "Open With" and "Choose Program." Find your bittorrent program on the list there - if it's not there, choose Browse and find it. Then, check the box marked "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and click OK. You're good to go then :)
