Prety gory game, i'd probly piss my pants...Dunno, i like the graphics and effects, but i'm not bothered to play a game till the end, gta vice city got too hard after a week, so i stopped. I'm not much of a gamer...

if i didn't have to go to work in a little bit, i'd still be playing the game. seriously, if you haven't bought a copy (trust me, it's good enough to warrant a purcahse), go buy it now. seriously, as long as you have the hardware to support it, this game rules. photo realistic graphics, top-notch voice acting, excellent level design, great action scenes - the list just keeps going!

Here here, 2nd that. Better graphics than Doom 3, and this one's even fun to play.

Dunno about the whole "purchase" thing, but it certainly is totally sweet.

This game IS worth buying.... I haven't got bored playing this, like i did with Doom 3, and graphics are more REAL then any other game yet, best game i have played to date.

So if you don't pay for the game in the stores, you can't play multiplayer online? Is that correct? So if you dl the game, only single player is available?

Half Life 2 doesn't have multiplayer, that's what Half Life: Counter Strike is for.

Maybe they'll release HL2 multiplayer later?

I just got to the Ravenholm level. So far I am completely impressed, and I always try to find ways to trash games.

I wish it showed Gordon's hands manipulating objects when he picks them up, turns valves, etc. I guess that's the only thing I could pick on.

I suppose if I had to buy a game, it would be... well, the new Joint Operations Expansion pack, but after that it would be Half Life 2.

Whoa... the Ravenholm level out-creeps the entire Doom 3 game by far. I think they put it in there just to show they can out-zombie iD Software. It's friggin' scary when you're surrounded by these... these.. "corpse monkeys". Damn...

The Ravenholm level is pretty gory and scary, and some of the aliens, like them monkey things that run the hell after you and smash you to bits, and them advanced crap like things that are toxic, i like them!

HL2 does have multiplayer, but it's hidden away (the only method of accessing it being commands in the 'terminal'). I reckon they'll release it later on.

Right now I'm on the level just passed the prison/ant lion fest. Speaking of ant lions... I really dig them a lot more when they're my little buddies, and not eating me. At one point I got wasted in the crossfire of 3 of those auto turrets, and didn't respawn for about 15 minutes.. just sat there in awe watching my little buddies die in droves going after the guns.

Yeah, so I'm in the level where you're trying to rescue the old scientist dude from cryo-prision or whatever. I've got to force myself to not play just yet or I'll be at it all day, and then I'll never finish Halo 2. hehe...

.. just finished Half Life 2. My hands are crippled and sore and I can barely type.

All I can say is... awesome. Just incredible. I haven't been bothered to finish a game in a long time, and this one kept me glued to the screen. The action was intense, and the "puzzles" never got in the way or too frequent. The atmosphere and story were top notch.

Thank's for the screenshot, but i'm not going to look at it till i get to the end. I'm on the level Highway 17, and so far i think the best level has been the leven before Highway 17... Really gory and exciting that level was!

I just completed it 5 minutes ago.

It is a truely great game.

Why is takes 60 minutes to 'back it up' on my hard drive.....i dunno.
