Hi there,
I have been using Winmx for around 6 months now and have experienced ongoing difficulties with Winmx. Some users I try to download from keep timing out. These same users time out for me every time I get past their queue. I usually only get a few bytes of data off them at a time.
Many of these users I have been in contact with. I have seen them constantly try to restart my downloads but the problem still occurs.
I am using Windows 2000, Winmx 3.3, and a cable modem. I am also using Norton Anti Virus 2002 which I am unsure whether it can effect downloads.
I have tryed both primary and secondary connections and the problem remains, although secondary connections sometimes downloads slightly faster but not always. Also search results are poor with I use a secondary connection.
