Hey!

Im a Bittorrent user and I use ABC(Yet another Bittorrent Client) and was wondering what people think of it.
Ive also gotten a client called "TorrentStorm" can anyone tell me if this is simular to ABC, and if I should switch.
Before you people say "use Azureus", I won't, I don't like Java very much. I like ABC because you can be DLing and ULing more than one torrent file
Tell me what you think!:santa

Use Azureus.

Just kidding. I use ABC myself, and for those instances I need to grab only one file out of a torrent I use Bit Tornado. I vote you stay with what you've got.

Not liking Java isn't a valid reason to not use a program. Different programs handle Java in different ways - Azureus handles it excellently. However, I still get problems with the JRE.

I suggest G3 Torrent. It's written in Python and it's more fully-featured than ABC.

If you are talking about the merits of ABC, it's the one I'm using. I like being able to download and upload more than one torrent at a time. I also like the ability to throttle the bandwidth in the program itself (since it's the only program that needs the bandwidth throttled on my computer). That way I'm still able to browse the web, IM and email without a slowdown from my Bittorrent use. I also like the ability to upload a specific amount. I try to upload a minimum of 100% for every file I download, but sometimes I want to share it more, so I make it unlimited. It also allows me to stop uploading a file if there are others who are uploading it now and start up loading files that don't have anyone uploading them currently.

I like ABC.

I've used azureus and i noticed a real increase in cpu usage compared to ABC. On another note, i used opera which uses a fair amout of java and it had adverse affects on my system. I switched to mozilla firefox and i have had no problems.

The beta versions of ABC on the sourceforge page are without peer (literally). I have tried other clients, and ABC has the best interface.

I've Used BitComet, Shad0w's, Azureus, ed2k v.1 lite bittorrent support, ABC, and others. I've found Azureus to be the best, most expandable, and most reliable. I prefer/recommend it.

EDIT: I downloaded ABC, and I prefer its announcing better than Azureus and it seems to connect to Seeds and Peers more quickly. Wow. I'm liking. Might've converted me. Now to complete the Azureus downloads and remove it.
