I will post the news link after I post my opinion hehe *woot*
It kinda is stupid to me that An artist would complain about not putting there works online for others to download them.
Well in this case I dont agree with the 99 cents surcharge for a track when u can get it for free. But anyways the topic is that when an artist doesnt wanna put their digital works online for others to download and pay.
I could care less but the point is the artist is bitching because they are only getting 6 cents off of a digital download.
ONce again its not the riaa that are greedy bitches either, the artists are just as greedy too.
read here now
*i may add more to this later cuz if i feel like it*

Piss on the RIAA...the artists have a right to be greedy. However, Madonna can go to hell!

well i think the artists have a right to get paid for their works but as far as them getting pissed off about only getting 6 cents per digital download they should take that up with the labels and the riaa we don't set the prices or their cut of the sales

I fully agree, artists don't always have to be greedy, but it's their work and they need to be paid, however; artists like Madonna and Britney etc, they produce crap music which we don't need and has no meaning. If a programmer put out a program which printed hello world on your screen, would you pay money for it?

this is hysterical

Isn't this about the same percentage the artists get from cd's?

At least with cd's you can sort of justify the costs involved with manufacturing the cds, distribution, etc... But with dowloads exactly how much of a overhead cost can there be. I agree that the artists deserve a much larger cut from the downloads, but their beef should be with the record companies who are massively screwing them over, not those willing to buy it. How can the record companies justify only shelling out a measly 6% on a dowload, what other costs could they possibly have?! Obviously the record companies are still trying to pork barrel the profits and point the finger at someone else.
