Why didn't they just start the new trilogy with this arc? Stupid Lucas. I think it would be a sad thing if he was able to fuck this up...

I will wholeheartedly agree with this statement. The best SW flick was made by lessening his control (the super ESB). Lucas is a shitty director... has fun ideas, but can't bring them to life himself.

then he revised them and turned them into hollow mockeries of themselves with new dance numbers and other additions that added nothing to the films

then, he made episode 1, a series of cg special effects with no discernible point and a lot of hollow allusions to his former talent (and lots of exciting c-span action)

episode 2 is more of the same, a showy spectacle, without the stark simplicity of the originals, with yoda, the presumed pacifist breaking character and fighting (ineffectively, so much for his jedi power)

then, of course, you have the dvd release that fixes even more that wasn't broken, like putting in "new" anikan and shaving off vader's eyebrows

I LOVE the new teaser and am TOTALLY intrigued by it. I will be one of the first ppl on ZP to see it, legally. I didn't so much like EP 1, but I liked EP 2 (bought it on DVD), and EP3 looks rad.

I have to say I was let down by the first two but I am hopefull for this one. I will reserve trashing Lucas South Park style until I see the movie.

Totally agree with you. I Love the teaser, Ep1 was a disappointment, liked Ep2 alot(also bought it) and this teaser looks cool.

I kno it is, but since ppl post things 33 times per file on Suprnova, I wanted to try my first. Dammit. My compy is fucked. New, but fucked. I cannot get that link to work for me. It sends me to an Adserver page. I disabled my HOSTS file, and it still didn't work

I've got say, I'm a little disapointed. I was hoping a few more Star Wars fans would get into this thread and give their opinion on the new teaser or give their opinion on the previous movies. For those that did, great, I guess I was just hoping for more response than has been created considering the amount of members here, Oh well, I guess there's not as many Star Wars fans as I hoped. I guess it was wishfull thinking.

Hmm, Seen "The phantom menace", good show, but Jar jar played a sour part in it. Good show still.

Havent seen the second one yet. Maybe I should watch it.

Star wars 4, 5, and 6 were great. Hopefully episode 3 will tie in nicely to SW4.

He was never talented or original. (no, THX1138 doesn't count... that sucks too) It's just that he had yet to reveal his true self... before the dark times.. before his neck took over the galaxy.
