I don't think so. The letters stand for Recording Industry Association of AMERICA. So, I think you are out of their grasp, Modestas.

The riaa represent american musicians. They are dangerous wherever american musicians are entitled to royalties of any kind. They generally work through reciprocal agreements with other royalties agencies though, so if you are sharing in say Narnia, it will be the riaN or mpaN say that actually comes after you. *no, Narnia is fictional, it's just an example* But that doesn't mean they can't come after you anywhere they have contracts. They just don't necessarily own enough bastards in your govment to fuck you up as bad as they do here. Or maybe more though, if your local officials are cheap.

Unfortunately we in the UK currently have the BPI (British Phographic Industry) attempting to follow in the footsteps of its nazi twin the RIAA by sueing Joe Public for not paying ten times the value of a CD. However this still remains the equivalent of a mosquito sucking the blood of an elephant. This is a war, that without a drastic change in legislation they cannot win.

MONEY is powerful in the U.S. and outside the U.S. as well.

If the RIAA made moves by sueing other countries citizens, it would not go over well. The best the RIAA can do is donate* money to organizations in other countries and get them to do thier dirty work.
