Many files I download from kazaa now when I try and play them all I get is it says playing 32kbytes per second and here no sound? Whats up with that??

Check for fakes before you download & try different p2p networks.

I have had the same problems .... (KaZaA-Lite) ... files are blanks even though they show to be large files ... ANOTHER is that they will play great for the first minute, then a loud blaring noise that can blow the speakers comes on ... That was it ...
You mentioned checking files before you download? How do you check before you download ... I have also noticed that some artist songs are very slow & has taken days to complete ...
Ok, what is the BEST P2P now ... reasons ... I have heard some have moved to E-Mule ... You mentioned Bit-Torent .... is there a thread here that gives me the answers to these?

Or just opt out of installing of nav helper during the install.
