Hey dudes, I have a couple of seperate problems I need help with.

First of all, just recently I bought a pack of CDs and they burned some tracks onto them but they wouldn't work on all of the CD players I tried them on. I then bought a different make and they worked fine so I thought maybe the first pack was dodgy or something. I then bought another different pack of CDs and a couple worked but then the rest didn't. They actually didn't even register in the computer. It just said 'Insert blank disk' even though the disk was already in. I tried a couple of disks from the second pack and they still worked up until today. Now no CDs are registering in my computer. Is this just a f*cked up CD drive or could it be something less serious? (It's a DVD/CD-RW drive by the way).

The second thing is, I have had 'Norton Antivirus 2004 Professional' on my compuer for a a couple of months now and it's veen absolutely fine but 2 weeks ago it said my Virus Definitions were out of date. I tried to update then with LiveUpdate but it said they couldn't be updated. For the past to weeks I've been getting that crappy pop-up saying 'Virus Definitions out of date' and I still can't update. Any ideas why this is coz it is really winding me up now?!!

Thanx in advance for any info!!

Re-install Norton.

I can't help with your CD problem. I've seen the same thing though. I have an older CD player that plays some CDR's and others it won't.
