I'm having trouble getting vcd's to burn, the simulation runs fine but the burn fails at some point through the file (which is watchable up to this point), I'm using nero burning rom 5.5.10.15. which apparently converts avi's to mpg as part of the vcd burn proccess. I'm wondering if getting the file in fragments from different users may have something to do with this (perhaps a corrupted file somewhere?), if anyone knows of a way of 'cleaning' video files or can recommend a free burning program they've had success with I'd be most appreciative.
All the best.

There are FREE burning software on the net, but they bundle other softwares with it that why they can offer it for free. My suggestion is to upgrade Nero to newer version that has better mpeg encoding engine, and stick with Nero!

Thanks digi. I'd like to stick with nero, other than the vcd issue it's damn good software, I'll try an upgrade.....fingers crossed

Why are using Nero to convert avi's to mpegs? Use Tmpgenc to convert the avi to mepeg format (vcd or SVCD) and then burn with nero, no need to upgrade, conversion will take the length of the movie

Great information there.
Tmpgenc is a great tool.
On a side note nero is good to but whatever works for the person downloading the program and such.
