Once in a while, I'll download an mp3 that has a minor glitch somewhere in the song. Is there a program out there that can fix such a thing? I'm not talking about the obvious spoofs where you hear the annoying squawking sound through most of the song. Thanks. :fire

Which p2p network are you getting these mp3s from? - If it's from KaZaA/FastTrack.. that's where ya problem is.
On KaZaA people download segments of files from each other. Of course a lot of people are blocking the sources of the fakes, but if you think about all the corrupted segments of mp3s that other people download and then pass on to you by accident... it results in mp3s with little bits of corruption which seem unrelated to the faked files (although the cause of these little errors are usually from the hash-exploited files spreading in segments.)
You just have to receive a couple of KB from a bad copy.. the mp3 will then have a skip/random-noise/etc.
Either use a network that has a strong file/segment -hashing algorithm ... or use cooledit/soundforge/etc and basically re-master the mp3 by hand. :;)

no, there's no fix that I know of, use a better network or just find the right file, sucks huh?
I would however like to know if anyone knows of a program that removes clicks from a bad rip, friend of mine did a shitty job, but the origional CD's gone and I'd love to be able to listen to that music without wanting to tear my ears off.

I've used Audacity to edit squeaks and pops in MP3's in the past. U can get it from the usual places, ie Download.com. Decent prog and it's free.
Or if you're using Fastrack switch. I'm mostly a Bitorrent and Soulseek user. Never get fakes or poor quality rips.

rebirth.. are you trying to get a high post-count or something?
Only asking 'cuz that's gotta be the most useless post I've seen in a long time... to the point it's almost funny.
