So I was stupid. I didn't wait for the hyperthreading Pentium 4s to come out (to my credit, I didn't even know of them when I bought my system) so I bought an HP ZX5060US laptop with a 3.06 GHZ processor, no hyperthreading.
Now, assuming money is no object, what are my options for upgrading to a processor with hyperthreading? I know nothing of HP laptops and which boards are compatible with which laptops. I can install the motherboard/processor into my system, I just have no idea where to start. HP.com was of no help. Any ideas?

Hmm... best machines....

Considering Hyperthreading is garbage, I'll choose two machines without Hyperthreading.

Looking for value ($1600): eMachines M6811

Money is no object (Base Price $3500): Voodoo Envy M:860

I was thinking more along the lines of "what can I stick inside of my laptop?" but that envy just about made me cream my pants. Thanks man.

Lol, you're welcome. :-P .... By upgrading I thought you meant buy a better laptop... LOL.

I would check to make sure you "can" upgrade the processor (i.e. is it socketed?). If its not socketed, dont bother, cause there's nothing you can do.
