Album Wraps

Why do some of you peeps insist on using any utilities other than "AlbumWrap" or the older "Wrapper" to wrap albums or cds. Its a real pain to download a long sought after album just to find out I have to the long drawn out process of using a MP3 splitting program.

Get over it dude. Your pirating the music.. you shouldn't be asking for a fool-proof, convinient process in which to pirate it. Nothing free is easy to do/get.

Why do you insist on making the process harder than it has to be?

Using soulseek, and a web browser, I have never had any troubles getting the music I want, and in a timely, convienient fashion.

All I do is check allmusic.com for the CD I want, and the number of songs on that CD. I then go to soulseek, do a search for that CD, and when I find a user with all the songs on the CD, I right click and select download containing folder. simple as that. Never had a single issue with it. Never had to split an mp3.

ALBW is overrated if you ask me.

I do the same routine as Wonderboy with good results too. There's nothing as good as soulseek for complete albums, all nicely stored in their own folders just waiting to be shared.

I wholeheartedly agree; Soulseek's ability to share folders as well as files is one of the best things about it, especially for those who download entire albums. It makes browsing, downloading, and organizing files much easier. Really makes me wonder why other P2P programs haven't adopted this feature.

direct connect has had it forever also

I think the worst part about ALBWs these days is that people are now wrapping them, using mixed songs to create a complete cd. What I mean is, they'll use songs from several different rips, so they'll all have different encoders/bitrates. Thats the point of an ALBW. To have the whole cd from one consistent rip. I hate trying to listen to an album and have it be crystal clear one song, then go to the next and have it be all tinny and really quiet compared to the other.
