Hi guys,

Looking for some help with WinXP Pro. When you reboot the computer, you have to enter your username & password, before you can reach the desktop. Since I'm the only person using the computer, is there some way to skip this step?

Thanks!

Do you have this on Startup also or just Reboot?

Both actually. I asked this question elsewhere and someone suggested TweakUI for XP (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp). I will try that tonight and see if it works.

I had to reinstall XP 2 dayz back becuz my USB ports stopped workin' (Go Figure). It started doin' tha same thing to me every time I started up my PC, tha way u stop it from doin' it iz this.

1. Go to yer Control Panel
2. Click on tha User Accounts
3. Delete all but one account & Disable guest Log On
4. Restart yer PC & it'll do it one more time 'cept there won't be but 1 user account.
5. Tha next time u start up yer PC it shouldn't do it any more.

There ya go, hope that helps ya brah....Peace

only have one user account that you created and dont have a password it should automatically take you to the desktop..

as long as there is only one user with no password, it will automatically go into the desktop
