--------------------------= What you need =--------------------------
First thing that your going to want to do is to download an older version of mIRC, as Invision dose not work with mIRC 6.16.
Once you have an older version of mIRC (6.12 recommended), download a copy of the Invision Script.

Downloads:
• mIRC 6.12 - 32 bit (http://mirc.slacker.to/download/mirc612.exe)
• Invision 2.0 Build 3515 (http://www.lebyte.net/invision/files/i2b3515.exe)

--------------------------= Install =--------------------------
DO NOT install Invision to a path that contains a space in it. In other words, C:\Program Files\Invision\ will not work but C:\Invision\ will and is recommended.

Because of the above when your installing mIRC for the first time do not install it to its default path (C:\Program Files\mIRC\). If you already have it installed in your program files folder simply cut and paste the folder into c:\

Once you have mIRC installed to c:\mIRC\ unzip the Invision script into the same folder.

--------------------------= Setting up mIRC =--------------------------
• Click the mirc icon and run mIRC/Invison.
• Click on "tools" then click on "Options".

First thing you need to setup is the Connect Category.

• First step should look like this.

Full Name:
Email Address:
Nickname:
Alternative:

If you don't want to give out your real name or email information just make something up.

• Next click on the + sign beside Connect in the category window to expand the connect tree options.

Click on servers to setup what server you want to connect to. You can choose a server from the drop down menu or you can click on the add button to add a server.
If you are real new and don't know what server to use click here (http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=21822&page=1) for a list of server/channels recommended by fellow ZP members.

Second thing you need to setup is the DCC Category.

You should now see the options for the "On Send Request" and "On Chat Request"

• On Send Request
- Show get dialog = When this option is chosen an accept/decline box will pop up when somebody tries to send you a file.
- Auto-get file and minimize = When this option is chosen you wont be asked if you want to accept or decline the files that are being sent to you. If minimize is checked then the download box will be minimized to the background.
- If file exists = Ask (will ask you what to do with the file), Resume (will resume downloading to incomplete files of the same name), Overwrite (overwrites files with the same name to start the download from scratch), Cancel (will cancel the download if the file of the same name already exists).

• On Chat Request
- Show chat dialog = When this option is chosen an accept/decline box will pop up when somebody sends you a chat request.
- Auto-accept = Accept all chat requests sent to you by other users.
- Ignore all = Ignores all chat requests sent to you by other users.

• Next click on the + sign beside DCC in the category window to expand the DCC tree options and click on Ignore.

In the Method drop down menu select Accept Only. Now setup the types of files you want to accept when downloading below using the add and delete buttons.
Uncheck the Turn Ignore Back On In.

• Next click on fserve in the DCC category.
Click on the button under the Root Folder and choose the folder you want to share.
Click on the button under the Welcome Text File and choose the welcome txt file that other users see when they connect to your file server. If you don't have one just leave it blank.

• mIRC is now setup, click ok and move on to the Invision setup.

--------------------------= Setting up Invision =--------------------------
• Click on "Invision" then click on "Main Settings".

Fill in your nick in the nickname section and click the Maintain Nick option. Here you will also find alot of other options for Invision. Refer to the active help window at the bottom of the page for help with each option and what they do. Then click "Apply" then the "Ok" button. The other tabs in the main settings should only be used by advanced users.

• Click on "Invision" then click on "File Server Manager".

- Setup Tab
Here you can setup how many sends/queues you want to allow, and how many per person. Again refer to the active help window at the bottom of the page for help with each option and what they do. Then click "Apply" before moving on to the next tab or you will have to redo it all over again.

Note: MOTD ads may get you kicked/banned from some channels because it may be against the rules. Be sure to find out the rules of each channel you plan on running your file server MOTD ads on.

- Triggers Tab
Check enable #1
Click on the Channels button and select the channel(s) you want your trigger(s) to be active in.
In the text box beside Trigger 1 type in whatever (my - moviez, music, warez, ect...)
Check Allow /CTCP
Click apply, then ok.

--------------------------= Finished =--------------------------
Congrats your all done, your server is now set for you to share.
Welcome to IRC.
