I know they were doing an update, so all I can guess is that they must have run into somw problems.

Well i googled it and theres a Service Status page of the site hosted on a different server - and thats also inaccessible. Hmm. I looked at the google cache (http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:k6gyDnM3zrUJ:jfm.nettropics.co.uk/methlabsstatus/+methlabs&hl=en) of it and it says they are having a DDoS attack, but this page was cached on the 24th of August so it cant still be happening by now...

Yup, I can confirm it's true (And it's not a DDOS causing it!!)... We've had probs with Debian and other software conflicting so we're looking at either changing the OS or the other software packages.
If we're not back up soon I'll attempt to mirror the information, updates, lists, etc. on my own servers temporarily but I'll have to check our vbulletin license before I mirror the forums.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused!!
EDIT: I've got http://xs.tech.nu pointing to a page with some of the files and blocklists from methlabs.org before it went down.
Peace!

Any idea how long it will be?I've been waiting to get on there for days.I got tired of Protowall crashing and going AWOL so I"ve been using PG for the last week or so.It blocks a lot of stuff I don't want blocked (can't get on some websites)and I can't figure out how to allow the stuff I want.I guess I could dump the blocklist and do something with Blocklist Manager but I am in the middle of a lot of stuff and just want an easy way.My brain hurts enough as it is.

PM me with the URLs/domains of the sites being incorrectly blocked and I'll validate and add them to the exclusion lists (so they get removed from the blocklists automatically).
You could also unblock port 80 connections (that is, if you're using PG1 [pr14+] or the beta of PG2 - not sure about PGLite)
