I understand that many old games become abandonware and that's great. But what about games that was released, oh, let's say in December 2003. There is one I can't find on the torrent sites and I am not sure it's old enough to be free yet. Any suggestions where to look? Not sure if i can mention the name on here :-p

I would try newsgroups, easynews is best because you can search for files, however you have to pay $10/month. It is worth it and will pay for itself with just 1 game or movie download.

Reading my last post, it might sound like a plug for Easynews. I assure you it is not.

Not many games later than around '97 are considered abandonware, and even then they're not free like freeware is (i.e. legal to download), though a few games from the 90s have been re-released as freeware by the authors.
I wouldn't consider a game made 8 months ago to be old...
