I recently downloaded the latest Windows updates for XP. I now have noticed a new Display Driver ....called...NVIDIA Ge FORCE FX 5200 appear in my Plug & Play section. I wish to remove this NVIDIA driver because it has made my new LCD monitor look like crap & regardless of what settings I change to....I can't get a clear picture.

I would like to re-install my original motherboard video drivers which I can do easily because I have the disc. However, every time I remove NVIDIA from - Control Panel - Add & Remove Programs...after the next reboot the NVIDIA display driver will self download & re-install itself.????

This problem is very annoying....Can someone please HELP !!!!!!

Thanks

MLOR

Linux wouldn't be the answer to this problem unless you know how to use Linux. I have a PC-Chip M748MR motherboard with 160 MB of main memory with a ATI Mach 64 with 2 MB of memory and I can't get XFree86 to run with that card which I installed Turbo Linux V7.0 Workstation version.

I think that MLOR, you need to disconnect your network and try to install the old driver or goto the NVidia web site to see if they have a better driver but this could be your display that causing the problem. Try another display on it and if it showing the same thing then it could be the video card.
