makes me laugh how many products listed are ms own software think they would have tested their own stuff

i've ran nero, outlook 2003 without error on windows xp sp2.

most of those applications only have problems because of the firewall. they start up full screen and the firewall pop-up dialog isn't visible until you exit the application.

if you disable the firewall, or use Alt+Tab to unblock the program on the first use...many of those programs will work normally.

Add westlaw.com to the list of allowed pop-up sites:
This will allow pop-up boxes only from designated sites.

Well.. it's not all bad... but how do p2p apps function and are the half-open-connection limits any problem when using BitTorrent, EDonkey/Mule, etc.??

I'm holding off SP2 until I get confirmation of it's effects on p2p apps.
