Anyone read :Back to school Guide: or :New User Guide:?
What do you think?

Yeah, they are both excellent additions to the site. Although I'm not having the trouble, the explaination of tunneling was full of knowledge.
Good work guys.

I think the back to school guide was good, but perhaps an example on how to use one or more of the programs would be a good edition.
The new users guide has good potential. The descriptions on the differences on centralized and decentralized networks should be rewritten to have a bit more technical detail...however since they are for beginners, that may not be necessary.

I'm going to read the (long overdue!) guides tonight.
I have just finished my guide :

the back to school guide is good.. Some instructions to get some programs like kazaa working with them would be nice too..
Gnutella was left out.. Which you can get a gnutella program to work from behind a firewall you just have to change the port which can be done in setup and connect to someone else on the network that is not running on the default or blocked port that has a open connection slot which is the hard part..

The back to school guide was good, but can you please change the picture of that guy with spiked hair! I have to look at it every time I come to this site :mellow

I've just read the new user guide, and I'm very upset.
It said...
"Think of file sharing like fishing..."
So I went and threw my PC in the river.
I didn't catch any fish, and my PC is shagged!

I agree the back to school guide was great after Thread after Thread of the same stuff it was very much needed, however an explanation of how to use the programs would be nice!! It said to dl HttPort3 Socks2Http and HttpTunnel but I don't think all of those programs are needed?? Of course I'm STILL having trouble... so yeah further explanation is needed...
