Squadron's agenda continues on the 11th of September at the Liquid Club featuring electro-pioneer Spacid (I love techno, Body to Body resident and voted best national electro DJ by Partyguide).
After their success on the 29th of May, which featured a rare appearance by the French electro-pioneers Le Syndicat Electronique, Rollinka and A//, Squadron seems to have settled in as being the leading electro event organisation here in Malta.
Sick of the stagnating music and the commercial business in the music scene, Spacid will be educating the odds music-wise from behind the decks with his massive two and a half hour electro set. During his 13-years of experience, Spacid has played alongside big names including Dr.Lektroluv, Miss kitten, Dmx Krew, I-f, Legowelt, Luke Eargoggle, The Hacker and DJ TLR.
This is Spacid's second time here in Malta, In April 2003 Squadron (aka Global Alliance) were the ones responsible for introducing this master DJ. He had rocked the crowd at the Strings club with an unforgettable two-hour electro set. This time around Spacid will be back to re-establish himself as one of the greatest DJ's to hit these islands. Nowadays he works for the Music Man record shop in Ghent, where he infected many with the
electro and italo-disco virus. As a DJ, Spacid is known for his fast mixing techniques boosted by some classic scratching along his set. He tries to fuel the dancefloor with the energy from behind his decks, fusing different electro styles into one energetic flowing set.
The night will also feature top local artists such as Junior B, A-Call, Auralbots, Rudi and A.I. The latter, being the ideal electro-duo to warm-up Spacid's dj set, will be playing right before the master himself. Prepare for an extra-pumping fast analogue dark melodic mind flopping set with character! Spacid style!
