Every hardware store I go to has keyboards with a freakin windows key.

Can anyone tell me who makes standard keybords for Unix based PC's without a windows key?

In my mandrake the windows key brings up the menu. Just a thought. It doesn't matter all that much linux. If the distro doesn't support the W-Key then it wont do anything. Just a little help.

Just like some of the others said put a sticker on it. Dont rip it off (do you want a gaping hole?) just put something like panic or any key sticker on it make it funny and have fun. Or you could take it and paint it.

My favorite idea -

Put a sticker over it that says "panic"
so it would be your panic button?

get it?

hmmm... given the choice of paying 10 bucks for a keyboard with a button i'd never use or 70-139 bucks for one without it, i'd go with the 10 dollar one

i'm almost sure of that....
