RECORD OF THE WEEK
THE RASMUS - GUILTY (Star Rating ****/5) - The Rasmus release Guilty the second single of there album Dead Letters and follow up In The Shadows. This rocky tune is definatly a candidate for the best song of the year.
Although people have called this track weak it is everything but week.
The Rasmus have a path to follow in the UK music industry and if they continue to follow this path they will be around for many more years.

HOT SHOT RECORD
SODA CLUB - AIN'T NO LOVE, AIN'T NO YOU (Star Rating - ****/5) - Soda Club release this track which has been around on the music channels since April. Soda Club a duo team up with yet another female vocalist and yet again the results are stunning. Its like a Science Experiment mixed with Maths. Soda CLub + Vocalist = Superb Song

3 OF A KIND - BABY CAKES (Star Rating ***/5) - 3 of a Kind are a new dance outfit. They release Baby Cakes with the intention to capture the attention of music buyers. This group mix Vocals and Rapping. This song is awfully catching and after hearing it once it is stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

AIR - ALPHA BETA GAGA (Star Rating **/5) - Every aspect of this song is western. The Vocals, Beat and Video. Air are a french duo who have been having outstanding sucess this year starting with there extremly sucessful album at the begining of this year. Since then they have been working with artists on new material and have taken time out of there schedule to release Alpha Beta Gaga.

BEENIE MAN - KING OF THE DANCEHALL (Star Rating ***/5) - Reggae artists like Beenie Man and Sean Paul have been doing incresingly well in the past few years as the market for Reggae music is growing. Beenie Man releases King of the Dancehall follow up to smash hit Dude and what a great follow up it is. Being one of the most successful name in Reggae worldwide Beenie Man is set for yet another success with this track.

JAMIE SCOTT - JUST (Star Rating */5) -Jamie Scott releases this song which he says has personal value to him. This is a very slow song which he trys to liven up in the chorus but his attempt sadly fails. Jamie Scott is a new artist to the music scence and will be praying this will establish him in the world of music.

JAVINE - DON'T WALK AWAY/ YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND (Star Rating ****/5) - Walking Away is something you certainly won't want to do when you listen to this track. Following up Best of My Love and her debut album Surrender Javine finally prooves she is back making good music again. The second song Best of my Love is one Javine has recreated adding her personal touch to it and somehow it just feels right. Javine deserves sucess and i hope this is the CD that finally establishs her in UK Music again.

JAY-Z - ENCORE (Star Rating - **/5) - Jay-Z releases yet another song. Encore is definatly not his best single but is also not his worst. Jay recently released his lastalbum The Black Album. This song has had next to no promotion and will not make a sucessful impact on the charts. His career is coming to an end and this song says it all.

V - HIP TO HIP/ CAN YOU FEEL IT? (Star Rating **/5) - The third act in the famous Universal clan, along with Busted and McFly. V haven't made the same impact in music that there friends have however still had a top five sucess with Blood, Sweat and Tears. Although Busted and McFly have had six number ones between them, V are still hanging in there hoping to equal the sucess of there label mates. After touring the UK twice in the past year it is obvious V have no Shortage of fans so they do have potential. Hip to Hip is a weak song as is Can You Feel It? This song should not and probably will not do well.
