yada yada yada! If your too stupid not to figure out how easy it is to get Limewire Pro or any pay program, then you don't deserve to be on P2P.

LimeWire is open-source, - why don't you compile your own 'PRO' version. Someone of you has to know how to compile a java program...

I did that too, the only reason I can't put up a link for it is that my version crashes every 12 hours b/c of its experimental bittorrent support.

I agree but there is something to be said about 350+ KBPS and no queue's.
Thing is though my ISP's news groups are good enough i don't have to pay for a 3rd party news service.

is news groups even considered p2p?
For some reason because they have been around wayy longer than p2p I figured it was its own kind of class.

as a matter of technicality? no

p2p is peer to peer--that is files from one user go to another user with no intermediate server

newsgroups are stored on an intermediate server (or servers) so it is not really p2p in a strict sense

(though it is lumped in with p2p since users put the files on the servers and take them off, so it's sort of p2s2p i guess)

This is not a warez forum, and Limewire Pro is no exception, this thread needs to get cleaned up, editted and go away
