over the last week I have been trying to rip some dvd's to divx using the 5.1 codec. I have been using programs like 1click dvd ripper, no 1 dvd ripper, dvdx, dvd to avi, and fairuse wizard. The best results I've got are out of fairuse wizard, but the problem is the quality.. I've increased the bit-rate to where it fits onto 3x700mb disks, and it's still not dvd quality. The only success where it's dvd quality is when I rip 1 chapter and the setting is not to exceed 700mb, and the chapter size only runs for 3 minutes 34 secs. and ends up 214,000mb. Is there a program that can give me the exact bit-rate when I convert the dvd to divx and keep the same quality? I don't have a dvd burner, only a cd burner. I don't care what the final size ends up (I can split it later), I just want to find out the exact bit-rate so I can keep the same original quality.
Thanks in advance.
