please help? shareaza & router problems..

hey guys, the other week i downloaded shareaza.. i accidentially left it on overnight and by the next day my brother informed me that the incoming router log was really long and that people were trying to hack into my system (? -- not sure of the validity of this last comment). anyway, ever since.. my routers been having problems. my original router stopped working all together. the internet connection is fine, but the router just flat out died and won't connect anyone to the internet. my brother went out and purchased another router.. and i uninstalled shareaza. everything was working fine for the first half-day or so.. but now the router too has completely stopped working altogether. also at times, i get server messages advertising some spyware bullsh*t. it's driving me mad. anybody have any ideas how to fix this? any help is appreciated!!

edit -- i have a linksys wireless-b broadband router, model no befw11s4
