Cleaning out my hard drive. I created a 480mb zip of documents, images etc. When i try to burn it to CDR with Nero, i get a "cylic redundancy" error. I tried to burn it using windows XP's burning software. Still get an error.

I d/led and tried one more Cd burning program, no luck.

I can open the zip file using winzip and can extract files.

Someone, please help.

yeah i could give that a shot. Since i deleted the source files. I'll have to extract and recompress the files. Does rar allow password protection?

Rar password protection makes zip look like it came in a kids meal...

DO NOT FORGET THE PASSWORD! If it's anything even remotely complex both zip and rar will take years to decypher on todays stadnard systems. I got quoted over 100 years on one complex password I came up with for the hell of it. You won't crack it, so remember it.

Why are you zipping it though? If it's just based on password proecting your files, they do sell *cough* applications that encrypt DVD/CDs and decode them seamlessly on the fly upon inserstion.
