This question hasnt been asked for awhile, so I was wondering what everyone here is using to play their videos?

WMP9 or Core Media Player... my monitor is quite dark, so I need a player with brightness controls :(...

I use WMP 6.4 and Media Player Classic with FFDshow ....unless you have problems with FFDshow it also has brightness controls...you can even resize the video on the fly....I was able to pull off HDTV res resizing real time with no problems. Doesn't look like HDTV lol but it just goes to show it's well coded for what it is.

hnads down, videolan. Ive never used a program that can be so simple and so 'tweakable.' It barely uses any system resources, either. The only thing I don't like about it is how it handles streamed videos - for some reason, It just doesnt seem to work. As a result, I use BSplayer for streaming.

PS2 is a good video player, also got a Magnavox vcr which rox!! =)

VLC first and foremeost(even though I think it's last couple of releases have been a step backwards. Otherwise, I've got media player classic and BSplayer. All of which are pretty damned good programs.

I use mostly Media Player Classic i use winamp5pro now and again,cant stand wmp9 always crashes and cant play anything good and looks like a turd(yes i know you can get skins for it but they all look crap too)

I have VLC and BSplayer on my computer, but I use WMP the most.

i really don't have a favorite,i use Windows Media Player 9.0,windows media player classic,BS Player,video lan.thats about it
