Gordian Knot/compression

I have been using Gordian Knot & Decrypter to burn dvd's but seem to have trouble compressing the movie files afterwards so it will fit on a disc. Could someone explain how Gordian Knot is used after the Decrypter process is complete? Do you use these utilities to change the size of the files, if so how? If not what should I be doing in order to get a 6GB movie on a 4.7GB disc.

You could convert it into a DiVX and set the single disc size to 4.7 GB.

You would need a dvd player with DIVX to play back the file, one exists made by phillips, playback is not a problem.

Hmmmm, that's interesting, because I'm encoding on GK as I type.......

Use AutoGK 1.0, it's much simpler than GK. When you start the app, select their Xvid codec for encoding and set the file size to say 4.6GB, then start encoding, you're done (in about 4 hours)!

If you just want one movie per disc, then use DVD Shrink instead. Why? It will give you almost dvd quality (very very negligible difference in quality), and more importantly, you could play the dvd on any standalone dvd player as well as on the computer. Meanwhile, Gordion Knot files are limited to PC's only (and very very few dvd players out there).
