What are your favorite extensions for firefox? :shoot
Your poll and question contradict eachother. The poll appears to be a 'favorite browser' poll, while the question asks about plugins that can only be used by 2 of the browsers mentioned.
my answer:
Adblock, bugmenot, ieview, download manager tweak, smoothwheel, cutemenus. bannerblind, and Im sure there are some more that I use, but I just cant think of them off the top of mey head.
BTW, I use firefox .9.1 patched

The second question does not apply for those who do not use Mozilla or Firefox.

F.Y.I for users of Firefox before >0.9.2.
(Old News) Link (http://www.mozilla.org/security/shell.html)
On July 7 a security vulnerability affecting browsers for the Windows operating system was reported to mozilla.org by Keith McCanless, and was subsequently posted to Full Disclosure, a public security mailing list. On the same day, the Mozilla security team confirmed the report of this security issue affecting the Mozilla Application Suite, Firefox, and Thunderbird and discussed and developed the fix at Bugzilla bug 250180. We have confirmed that the bug affects only users of Microsoft's Windows operating system. The issue does not affect Linux or Macintosh users.
On July 8th, the Mozilla team released a configuration change which resolves this problem by explicitly disabling the use of the shell: external protocol handler. The fix is available in two forms. The first is a small download which will make this configuration adjustment for the user. The second fix is to install the newest full release of each of these products.

Tabbrowser extension. Although it has some bugs that sometimes keeps links from opening in a new window.
Adblock.

extra garbage?
This is tweaked sweetness man. They aren't like tools... they don't slow down the browsing. They just make the experience far sweeter.
Perhaps the damage to your brain has lessened your ability to be civil. Garbage? What do you do with your browser? Is it a useful tool that adds to your internet experience? Or just something you use to look at stuff?
I hope that you enjoy your default (useless) browser.

Firefox is very nice. I need a browser with Mouse Gestures, so it's by far my best pick for that.
Extensions:
All-in-One Gestures (I like the line it can draw, you get bored and you start drawing)
Close Tab on Double Click
Single Window 1.0
ieview - for those times you Really have to
Allow Right-Click

AdBlock's the only extension I use. Other than that, Mozilla seems to do everything else a browser needs to do.

BTW... if you want to find new extensions, this is an excellent forum:

You're right. And I don't want that much extra garbage.
Well, you know what they say - garbage in, garbage out. And i doubt their is anyone who has ingested more unadulterated trash than wingnut2600.
Anyone with a brain knows that phoenix or firebird, or firewolf, or whatever they are callling it today is one of the lamest browsers out. It is slow, full of bugs, unsecure and doesnt even support half the sites on the web.
Personally, i stick with a real browser, either IE or lynx.

1. FireFox w/ FiretweakerXP is faster than IE on my PC.
2. Use Launchy trigger IE when I must use it (very rare).
3. Firefox Unsecure?? (arguable).
4. IE a real browser?? LMAO.
