On Tuesday, July 6, the Maltese music scene received an injection of novelty and inspiration with the launch of a new singer - Baresine - who promises to be the hottest revelation in the local RnB scene.

Baresine's debut single, I'm Out, was also launched and already gives a clear indication of the young singer's talent and potential.

The launch was held at Hola Beach in Marfa, and was attended by a host of local DJs, established singers and the press. The song, a vibrant RnB melody with elements of pop, was received with enthusiasm by those present. So was the song's video, which was also screened for the first time.

Baresine is not yet 17 years old but that does not diminish her presence and attitude, a vital necessity in the type of music she seeks to establish herself in. She seems to be taking music seriously enough, if the organisation of the launch event and the quality of the song's and video's production are anything to go by.

Baresine's managers and producers, Freetime Productions, spared no effort in ensuring that the song and video were of the highest standard and that the launch was meticulously planned.

Baresine said she was looking to the future with optimism, albeit with her feet planted firmly on the ground. "I realise it's a tough market, but I'm ready to work hard and to be patient," she said.

But in the meantime, her producers are not sitting idly. Elton Zarb and Tonio Cardona, Freetime Productions' directors, said they were already working on an album with Baresine and that it would be even more RnB-ish than Baresine's debut single. They said they were immediately captivated by Baresine's voice and talent when they heard her screening recording. "She has a lot of promise and has already attracted the interest of a foreign producer."

I'm Out started being aired on local radio and TV stations from Wednesday. As for Baresine, it's back to the recording studio and to the RnB music that is her passion and her love.

Hottest revelation on the music scene?? Is it cause she can sing or cause she has the looks? Just show me one ugly goofy girl who can sing. Where are they, do they exist?? These are the things i need answered.. Ahh yes, Alanis morissette was that type back in the day of bad hair.
