Aright guys. Basically I have been using edonkey for the past year or so, and now want to get kazaa again. What is the best free version to download and where do you get it from. kazaalite.tk seems to be a pay service.
Does anyone think there are better progs than kazaa for music and video ?
Cheers guys

I agree BitTorrent is awsome. It gets you what you want and it gets it fast.

Because thats what these forums are for, to answer file sharing questions. Its hard to remember that I know. You are forgiven for your dumb ass reply.
IMO all programs are better than using KaZaa for anything.

Poullous did give an answer. Bickering about it is childish. Mes asked more than just where to get Klite if you re-read the post.

You traded eDonkey away for Kazaa? Wow.. thats like giving away your Lego Technic for Duplo.
Use eMule if you dislike the eDonkey client, noone is using kazaa for anything nowadays.

I find my klite from bittorrent. For some of u this might seem odd. Suprnova (www.suprnova.org) posts many applications everyday and if you have a good look you 'll find some usefull progs u could use. Sometimes I don't know what I need to download, but when I see the fresh posts there is always something new to download. Even old....

I still use edonkey but i'm having trouble with it. So i decided to look for an alternative, ,basically for downloading music mainly. Ive tried soulseek but it is too hard to find available users. And im not sure how good bittorent is for music, what is best bt client.?
cheers mes :tilted

What problems are you having? Have you tried e-mule? -Haven't tried e-donkey meself, but e-mule absolutely rocks! Check it out.
slight thread hijack here.... but I've been using the mule for about half a year now having got thoroughly fed-up with klite and it's corrupt files. Still got a huge folder with loads of half downloaded dats in. Any client I can continue these with, or should I just trash them and start downloading them again?

First of all, I don't know why you're asking for the best FREE form of k-lite? K-lite is ONLY free, if you are paying for it, then you got ripped off....there is nothing special about paid k-lite, nothing but a slab of lube on your rear end.
Try Ares...really there is no reason why to go back to Kazaa. Do some reading here.
This post does smell spamly fishy.

kazaa lite k++ edition is great, has many extra features including an ip blocker for the RIAA and such, as well as an accelerator and more.

Yeh...but there are ALOT of people out there that don't know anything, but I guess we need them...kinda like sheep diverting the wolves attention from us.
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't point anyone in Kazaa's direction anymore.....that'd be kinda like sending your dog to china........ :;)

Well I know kazaa has gone downhill but I still think it is good for music, trouble is my pc has a problem with it. Well the version I have anyway. Then there is edonkey again a great peice of software (I run a site more or less dedicated to it) but for mp3s its not worth the hassel.
Only ever tried bittorent once but couldnt find any files, he he:-) is there a bittorent client with a search function?
I think I will try ares, i am using soulseek at the moment but the number of available files is minimal.
Anyway thats enough of my rant, any ideas from anyone :;)
Cheers guys, ,mes.

I disagree. BitTorrent sucks. Unless its a very popular file, the speed sucks d***** d***.
Kazaa Lite K++ is the only fast big network Ive seen. eMule sucks because its so hard to get the files fast, I have no problem with sharing but I want the files now not next week.

you can try Ares if you hate 1000 queues. The speed is like Kazaa but the hashing technique is better and you can also share your chunks (similar to eDonkey).
Just opt-out NavExcel during installation
eDonkey is good but sometimes met file cause many problems so MetFileRegenerator is the solution.
BitTorrent is bad especially for a noob. If they got incomplete chunks especially for big ones, they'll hold you for 94-99%.
