7:06PM (EST) went to mini's suprnova thread and still get the "no known mirror " on anything that I try to download. Refreshed 3 times still get the same thing. Also sorry I put .com in my haste to get help. Never had any problem with this one before doing this. Any other ideas.

Ok, now it is getting even weirder. I still can not download. I even restarted my system just incase there was a clitch. Still get that damn "No mirror found". I went to Bitoogle Search engine and type the download I was trying to get. It found it with a Suprnova url. The search stated that I could either go to that site and download or download it direct from bitoogle. Going the suprnova way i still got the NO MIRROR FOUND responce. Now here is where it gets real bad. When i go to download it from bitoogle, BAM it works just fine. I have tried several different suprnova.org urls and get the same NO MIRROR. Being a Suprnova hard core addict i realy would like an answer PLEASE!

They have had that happen before and sloneck (Think I spelt it right) said that when they loose mirrors the main server will still refer to them making aka" no known server"

The problem is with suprnova not your computer don't listen to alliercollins. Earlier today it was all working fine but now I'm seeing the same problem across all of the mirrors. It's happened before. All we can do is wait until they figure it out. I'm going to go and check the suprnova forums. I'll get back to you with anything I find out.

Thanks for the help Mini like I said it may be a regional problem. I figure since your the one who got me hooked on Suprnova, you would be the one to come through with a fix. I new that I was not craze. I figured that it was a Suprnova problem when I could get the files from other sites. Thanks again for the effort. I don't even remember where I posted that, give me a link so that I can check it out. I have no great love of rediff, I don't think I even have an account there, I just happened to come across an article which talked about it matching google's offer and offered the info to the zp community. Try to chase up the source of the original torrent using the links provided... works for me with well over half the torrents. The other thing you could do is go for the non-lazy option... Get yourself a list of torrent sites and go direct to the source whenever suprnova is down. :;)

I know some are going to disagree on this but that's kewl.. I'm up for debate anyway!!

I personally think that suprnova is great... but that's my lazyness speaking.

It's added an untold amount of seeders (but probably more leechers) to a lot of BT trackers. But my real problem is how much suprnova helps identify trackers and consequentially uploaders.

I sometimes wonder whether suprnova will inadvertantly assist the MPAA/RIAA in making a big bust against thousands of bittorrent users by highlighting how/where everyone is connecting.

It's like kazaa... when it's made too easy and too many people use it the anti-p2p brigade will find it easier to screw with it.

still.. viva suprnova for now... and it's good to see a few more trackers being ratio-sharing based or requiring sign-ups to get rid of leechers and spies.

True enough Method. With high visibility comes high risk. It would be altogether too easy for them to grab every ip on a torrent and every tracker. Even if they only sent bad data back they'd be connected long enough. But if it started happening I'm sure we'd all just retreat to lesser known sites and build them up to the mammoth popularity of SN and begin again. And anyways, If you think about, they can only get you for sharing one file, so they're much more likely to go after easily catalogued server based apps like mule and dc first.

I think BT will find more commercial support than virtually every other P2P app. By that I mean alternative DL options for patches, etc. Already getting more common.
