ARES blows every other P2P program out of the water

I just have one or two things to say:

"ARES" P2P program blows all other sky high. Its the fastest results, best result (for music and video) best music quality (no corrupted files, or very few) and stabe, connects fast, and the DL speeds are great (Im talking 50KB/s +...even up to 350-400Kb/s its chat is great, easy to use, etc.. And very user friendly and easy to set up. Get it now if you want results!!!

I disagree, I'd take Direct Connect over Ares any day of the week. Couple rmDC++ and Bit Torrent and you can't go wrong. WinMX is a nice addition too. Ares is good, but I wouldn't go fanboy on it just yet.

Look...DC is a pain in the ass! its hard to use in some areas, the DL spped sucks and I just dont liker the interface...Ares Rules! Period.

DC++ can be hard to setup if you don't know what you're looking for or what things mean, I can see that. But I personally have had no problems with it, and I get pretty good speeds usually.

yes ares is the best "napster like p2p" there is. decentralized (i think) etc.

I prefer G2 but it's going no where until more people use shareaza ore develop alternative clients.

bittorrent is p2p of the future. not for pirating, but imo for legit downloads of big files.

I agree. it's the best P2P prog out there and it's growing in fast numbers! use it with one of Edonkeys networks like Overnet, and you have the best P2P experience....lol

No P2P is the best. Its all user preference and opinion. Every P2P has its pros and cons dealing with speed/files/users/gui/encryption and so forth. Instead of fanboying use all of the good aps in variation. For example use Ares for single songs and popular movies and music videos. And use bittorrent and emule for games and movies.

Ares dont got Spyware. Ares is becoming a big P2P alot of people moved from K Lite to Ares without all the fakes.

I just downloaded Ares today and I quite like it. It seems fast enough and with enough content. I normally just use WinMX but I occasionaly use Kazaa as a back-up, but I've had enough of Kazaa, so I'm thinking Ares is my Kazaa replacement.

Oh, and for full albums nothing beats Overnet + BitTorrent.

I used to think ares was great until they sold thier soles to spy and adware. iewarez p2p2 and all future versions of ares. I stick to bittorrent and edonkey myself seem to get what a i want and know fake shit, also limewire pro aint bad either

i was in love wit ares until it messed up my computer... my my internet explorer barely works, i cant download anythin online, n my desktop is just mess all up i cant click anythin on there or else my computer will freeze. ares got me scared to download any other p2p program i guess i wil just have to go to the underground n buy bootlegs.

Sounds like you could have.......**drum roll**.......spyware, a virus, a trojan, poor PC maintenance, a system packed with crap and the system is very low end and junky, you've got 8 P2P programs running at the same time, you're hallucinating, a monkey came by and messed it up while you were off to band camp, voodoo, Cockroaches are living inside your case, etc, etc, and furthermore, etc…..

The moral of the story is, those "problems" are not from Ares, or at the very least, not JUST the work of an error with the Ares software.

With that being said, I find Ares to be a rather average network. Not much unique and quality content. About as many "remotely queued" as fasttrack these days. I like the "chat" area, although you have to weed through mindless "SEX", "nE1 wAnt TO CHaT?!", "any a U guRls wAnt TO CybEr/cHat/sKulFucXXOr?!?!", etc, etc, etc, to get to something half way useful.

It's a nice simple program, for those who don't want much and can't handle much. It's perfect for fasttrack cast-offs.

I'm glad all of you are happy with it.

ares is great, but not the best for the music i look for (alot of rare stuff/french music -- though ares does have a large french userbase). soulseek is helluva slow but gets me some rare stuff, and shareaza is also really slow (rather edonkey is) for MUSIC but not for movies/large files.

my fav. network is g2/gnutella. mostly because gnutella has so many clients. I wish limewire would support G2 so I had a client on Linux, I cant get shinobu to compile right and mldonkey is too big for me. (hour to 3 hr compile time).

I would not have said this a few days ago....but i just download the newest version of exosee and i think this is the best p2p program out. It had built in chat, user friendly interface and great download speeds. So i say all major p2p user download and post your files for all to use.
