I tried both secondary connection and other.
I am using win 98.

Ok, my problem is:

I am dlding jap. anime-music videos, filenames are mostly in japanese.
When i try to dld a video it says that i am dldling it with 14 kb-sec(for example).
The status bar doesnt show any progress though (always 0%).
In the first line where the status bar is, there is always 0kb-sec, but where the user is (the 2nd line) there is 14 kb-sec.
and sometimes i am dlding it from 8 people...with 13 kb-sec from each...BUT no kb-sec in the first line where the status bar shows ..yeah, you got it,..0%....i let it some hours trying to dld...but no progress.

at the top of winmx it also says for example " 1 DL @ 0 B/s"
although in the main window it says in the second and/or third line that it dlds with a specific amount of kb-sec.

Damn,..i dont know what the problem is....a friend can dld those files.
if you wanna help me lost soul then please reply to this thread or get in contact with me under ICQ: 39063253

PS: i can dld US or france files...just no jap videos/mp3s...

my guess is that it can't handle the filenames. cancel the downloads, then go to where the file is and rename it, (don't take the hash numbers or anything else off though!) and remove any foriegn characters, then try again.

ok a quick walk through on how to dl the files u r talking about.

this is a comon prob with anime files and other really long filenames.

Right Click the file you wish to download, choose manually download.
Then pick manually browse for file to resume from (NO U DONT ACTUALLY NEED A FILE TO RESUME FROM TO USE THIS)
Click OK.
Then enter a name u wish to name file(in the filename box). Click OPEN.
Auto Complete, retry find sources etc will not be affected. Bc these searches are made by hash values, not filenames.

Good luck, for other probs with winmx go http://vladd44.no-ip.com
