filetopia.... the greatest p2p ever?

I've now officially chosen filetopia as my fav client and I really wish for more people to use it. Please make this program become what it deserves to be. It has yet to get much content but the only way it ever will become great is if people use it. It has even more potential than blubster! Join the revolution of p2p evolution! Well you can make make you're own chatroom and it has very nice features (ie voice chat, smilies, chatroom's look, etc.) and they have their very own little message board for each room!:devil It has safety features like encryption, bouncer (safety thing) and super-fast speeds! It also has a nice messaging system! Download it at www.filetopia.org

I agree, it's great! the community is great and it the client runs very smoothly, speed is great, and content availablilty isn't too bad anymore, still room to grow though! I personally prefer it over Blubster (obviously).

Cool =D but I'm having a wierd problem and whenever I do a search it can't find ANYTHING! Maybe I can browse you if you let me know you're name on it :D And it reminds me a lot of DC for some reason but I'm Rob-Z and hope to see ya round! (on filetopia)

yea fiiletopia is awsome..i'm using ver.3.02 and it also reminds me of dc w/ the hubs..but i hope when the userbase grows that certain chat channels dont require you to share X amount of files to get in like dc.i'm really looking 4ward to this netowrk to grow..and hopfully have enough media and still have great speeds for file transfers...that would make this my permanet p2p prog..no more using certain clients for certain needs

Well I used to jump on Betas all the time but it just seems programers were getting sloppy and lazy and making end users do all the work of finding and reporting bugs and all we got were messed up systems sometimes.

I"ve always liked Filetopia just not enough people. I also agree with Rickio. I was also downloading betas all the time and paying for it later. I just got through rebuilding my puter (major crash). It may have been just age or it could have been all the reformatts from the bad programs I've used. I don't know... but I'm sure hesitant now to download anything that I haven't researched the crap out of. I used to be a beta tester for alot of programs and I don't think I will risk it now. I'll just have to be ..ugh... patient. I do like the idea of a ZP gathering place on Filetopia. I'll be there eventually - I've been on the bulletin boards for quite some time.

I know exactly what your saying Richard. I been playing with new apps a long tome also, just got tired of the junk lot's of progammers throw at us.
You got to use a bit of discretion nowadays and what I do is browse the forums and check out the complaints. If it sounds cool I might give it a shot.
I just got to much stuff to easily replace now.

I missed you all too!!! I was about to go nuts. Like I said before I had a MAJOR crash. Landed up replacing My CPU, Motherboard & RAM. And just for giggles the video card and a couple of other goodies. So I should be good to go for a while.

I tried FT (3.02) about a week ago and couldn´t find much stuff...and didn´t d/l anything with it.

It seemed like a very good program, but not much going on. When it does download, how´s the speed?

General download speeds are VERY fast, i have dial-up and i usually get from 4kbs to 5kbs (very good from my crap connection) of course, it all depends on who you d/l from.

hey guys....i just opend filtopia up and got a system message.......Network is performing a test - its database has been restarted,please be patient....did any1 get the same thing?

I did. I told them the bug I found so they restarted the network to make the bug fix.
