In a local paper here I came across this article. Remember how the Major Record Companies got sued for price fixing and they had to donate thousands of CD's as part of the settlement? Read on for a tidbit..
"Librarians across the region found out this week what it means to get too much of a good thing. As they begin to unpack long-awaited shipments of free compact disc's courtesy of a lawsuit against the record industry, they found several recordings to add to their collection, and they found even more that simply did not make sense.
What, Methuen librarian Krista Mcleod said she asked herself, will she do with 21 copies of an obscure Gregorian chant by The Monks of Silo, Singing "The Mysteries of Silo?"
The shipments are packed with so many multiple copies and little known titles many librarians are wondering if the record companies involved in the anti-trust lawsuit-brought by 40 states against the record industry for price fixing-simply shipped thier back catalog."

Seems like the record companies are still having the last laugh??
Thought you may find this funny!!
