How to block leeches on winmx?

Hi all

I like to use winmx for sharing my files, unfortunately i get a lot of leeches who want everything for free. I can't seem to find a way of blocking them apart from cancelling downloads every time they try. As far as I know there's no "help" files for winmx, so perhaps someone can help?

Also, how do you see the IP address of someone who is downloading from you?

PS. I am a new user of winmx and think it's pretty good, but are there better p2p, spyware free, utilities out there?

Use Leech Hammer with your winmx.

yeah get leechhammer here www.smartgamez.org/ its what I use and it works great. If you want a leech tool with more features find Mxmoni. Moni uses more resources though and is harder to run for long periods of time.

Blocking leeches seems to me to be more trouble than it's worth. Just share openly. There will always be someone trying to take advantage. Just don't worry about it.

Just share files and be done with it. I cant be arsed messing about trying to stop leeches as occasionally i do it myself.

let others download anyways.. More they get, the more willingly they will be to share. Its hard getting so many free files and not feel guilty about sharing them freely with the rest of civilization.
