Hi,

I really need a new filesharing program. Kazaa has too much spyware/adware and limewire is just too slow. Anyone got a good program with no adware/spyware that is fast and reliable?

Thanks for your time!

There is no best, but it has been discussed many time as to what each one is good for. I typed out a small and strictly opinion based list for another user the other day, check it out as the 12th post on http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=20736

Come on you guys, it's his first post. There is no need to drive away people on their first post. You should either be helpful or not bother to post. Seems like a waste of a post to say no or to call him a noob. We have all been there before and you guys know it. You should welcome a new member and be happy that the forums are continuing to grow. To want them to stay at this current numbers with only the original members or the favorite members posting would be very greedy.

you should try shareaza, it connects to all the major networks, g1, g2, and edonky, so you'll find just about everything you want also ive never had any real problems with getting spyware or adware from shareaza. ive tried other p2p clients and i like shareaza the most. oh yea use it in advanced mode it doesnt connect to all the networks by default.

Go under the view menu, put it in power mode. I think that is what he meant.

Direct Connect, Bit Torrent, IRC, and WinMX that's all you'll ever need. Some people would add a Gnutilla client in there, but eh, whatever.

Ares is good for new users, as well as Kazaa. Winmx is a good program, but a little difficult for new users. Shareza is also a decent program, but you need to do a little homework to get it to run fast.

Kazaa Lite is very good to use because the downloads work much better, there are less corrupt files, no spyware, and there is a search more option.

WinMX and Soulseek however are pretty fast, so I recommend you use those as well.

Direct connect and newsgroups simple as that. I have been using dc for over 4 years with no problems what so ever and news groups have wicked speed if you have the connection which i dont have anymore lol

Shareaza's downloads are too slow, LimeWire hmmm... won't say anything, WinMX dont bother you'll be waiting for weeks to get a file, XoloX 2.0 but some people might not like the MLdonkey support, there aren't many. I'd say Ares, fast downloads, and its slowly growing. www.softgap.com (Make sure you uncheck the Navhelper thing or it will install some kind of adware

wtf are you talking about? LOL Kazaa lite connects to the same network as Kazaa, so there are MORE corrupted files then any other file sharing program/network, i would not recommend Kazaa Lite to save my life!

use SoulSeek if you're into downloading albums rather than song by song. slsk had no spyware adware . . . its getting better day by day.
