I'm surprised no one answered you yet eh.

Yes it's possible depending on several factors.

First: If you're wanting DVD quality, it's not going to happen. Well maybe in a very rare instance.

Most downloaded movies are VCD quality (352 x 240 resolution or 352 x 288 for PAL). Some are SVCD quality (480 x 480 resolution or 480 x 576 for PAL). Generally the bigger the downloaded file, the better the image quality.

You can convert these resolutions to DVD (720 x 480 or 720 x 576 PAL) but there will be no improvement of image quality so it's a waste of time unless your DVD player will not accept VCD or SVCD. This conversion can be done using a programme called TMPGEnc. Links to this programme and many other useful ones pertaining to your purpose can be had from www.vcdhelp.com.

If your DVD player supports VCD or SVCD, you can burn several entire movies (in VCD or SVCD resolution) to one blank DVD disc if you want. I usually do this if I want to keep a downloaded movie in my collection indefinitely.

My advice to you would be to visit www.vcdhelp.com which has extensive how-to's on all types of file formats; both for computer playback and stand-alone DVD playback.
