I had no problems with Kazaa on WIn xp before, but I have installed Win 2000 and Kazaa is just connecting, but never connects. I have read the FAQ and I have disabled my firewall and have never altered any port settings but cannot see why this problem persists. I tried a clean install of XP and the same problem. Can anyone tell me why I cannot connect?

maybe your isp blocked the ports.
Just change the ports and try secondary connection and see if it helps.
just add a one to the beginning of the port settings.

Then you may want to download a Registry file cleaner from Download.com or some other site that has large selections of apps.

yeah go to webattack.com and search for regcleaner in the freeware section. then run it and look for anything related to the apps you uninstalled. delete anything related to the apps you uninstalled. use search function to find that stuff...
there is 2 versions of regcleaner , one is microsoft. that is not the one to use. Use the other one. It's simple and quick.

Sorry Snake, I think that's actually your motherboard. I've seen it happen a few times. However not to many people have a spare mb to try swapping it out, so I'd try a lot of other things first.
(I read this again and realized I didn't say that I was referring to restarting instead of shutting down.)

My memory isn't what it used to be. Try this link, it deals with the problem you are having. It was a bios problem I was thinking of, not the actual mb. I hope this helps.
